MABB (RALPH). bookseller in London; Greyhound St. Paul's Churchyard, 1610-42. Son of John Mabb, goldsmith of London. Apprentice to WilIiam Leake { [[LEAKE, William ( - 1633) ‹ LBT 07160 ›]] } for eight years from Christmas, 1603. Took up his freedom January 16th, 1610. [Arber, ii. 269; iii.683.] Amongst his publications may be mentioned the first edition of John Gwillim's ''Display of Heraldrie'', and a play called ''The Spanish Bawd'', by James Mabbe.
